- Greet lamp-posts.
- Read a current comic book issue of your favourite childhood hero. Mickey Mouse, Spidey, Little Lulu or the X-Men, whoever.
- Read a story by Hans Christian Andersen. Stage it.
- Bake stuffed tomatoes.
- Take a fresh rain shower.
- Send a postcard of your town to a friend far away. (You may have to draw one...)
- Hug a tree. -

Sun, August 20, 2006 - 6:48 PMwhat great ideas! I'm new to TAW and have only done 2 artist dates so far. They were:
- Allow myself the time for reading a book on Labyrinths while eating apricots and chocolate
- Find small rocks and wash them then place them into paper cups with various colors of acrylic paint mixed with water to "dye" them. Then read a page or 2 of the Pronoia book.
other AD things I hope to do:
- use said colorful rocks to make a tiny labyrinth under my Faery Tree (a lemon tree in my backyard)
- visit a buddhist monestary
- Spend an hour in Barnes and noble reading childrens books and things found in the young adults section while sipping an iced decaf
- Spend an hour browsing in Bookmans
- Spend time alone at an art gallery
- make a sock puppet theatre -

Mon, August 21, 2006 - 3:18 PMthank you :) If you click on my profile there's a link to the entry in my art blog with pictures of that Faery Labyrinth. It was a blast to create after the sun set last night ,and I got some great pics of it this morning.
Other ideas:
- visit some of the local galleries I'm hoping to show my art at some day
- find local labyrinths from the world wide labyrinth finder and "walk" them (I put that in quotes because most labyrinths are too large for me to walk so I use my wheelchair) -

- go for a long walk and especially by the ocean
- just sit and listen to a favorite piece of music without doing anything else- with eyes closed

Weekend trek to the farmer's market... a wine-tasting seminar... a deeply-scented bubble bath & hot tea... an afternoon at the animal shelter, playing with the furry friends... a solo lunch at my favorite hideaway Italian restaurant (with the cute waiter ;-)... poking around garage sales on Saturday morning, looking for books or gadgets...taking out my telescope on a clear night, to marvel at the universe -
