reading the book for the 1st time & have decided to go through the program by myself and then form a group and go it all again. i'm on my first week, and anybody who is still interested in creative discussion of the book and its exercises, premise, or the like should re-animate this tribe with me :)

if i can do it, anybody can.

i start my second week tomorrow, and already i am going through profound changes met with synchronicities (some of which involving tribe.net :) )))) even though i am doing it solitary=

i am going to create a group in the fall after i've gone though myself. i know i'm going to be moving (to the bay area), so its silly to start one and leave it here in Salt Lake.

Ok, so I will start week two tomorrow with you.

Yes, the first week alone was amazing, and I am really looking forward to continuing this process and seeing where it all leads.

    Jenny,

This is a great idea. Unfortunately I can't find my copy of the book. I only have a copy of "The Vein of Gold", her follow up book subtitled "A Journey to Your Creative Heart."

I'm willing to play along though. I'll keep looking for it or pick up another copy.

for those without a copy of the book, check for excerpts at this other artist's way tribe: www.tribe.net/tribe/servl...e/artistsway

also, hi folks! sorry i organized this, then dropped out. felt so great, went off to venture into new horizons! nothing panned out, tho, but that's the way of life. meanwhile, please keep it going, i may slide right back in with you when you are on the week that i was at (i think 4?).

j, check the used bookstore for a copy of your book, or check it out from the library if the above url does not help.

thanks again girls! i am determined to finish this workbook!

I was just about to start up again this sunday, what with being out of town and all, I was not really able to delve back in a few weeks ago like I wanted to. But now that I am back, and caught up at home and at work, I am ready and determined to get back on track with this!

So, Sunday I will be restarting week 2 since I did not really finish it, I know that you my friend are a few weeks ahead though...

Uh, yeah. A few weeks ahead. Sure. I can't even remember where I was. Funny thing is, I did about three weeks of the whole thing before I was suddenly writing and had a bunch of cool projects to do again. So maybe it worked kinda. I know I have a bunch more work to do on myself that I think the Artist's way would facilitate, but I'm kinda scared that if I start putting time into it again, I'll run out of time for my writing, dontcha know.... Oh, the humanity! Hugh, the manatee!

that is exactly what happens to me! after about three weeks, it charges me so much, i get totally inspired by all the good projects in my lap that i neglect the artists way stuff!

if it is this powerful at three weeks, it is great at 12 (or however many it is)

After much hemming and hawing, I'm starting again on Sunday. With full intent to get through the whole thing without getting sidetracked.

However, I've got a concern: I already get up at 5:30 in the morning to go to work, and while I'm a cheerful person, the thought of getting up even earlier definitely casts a pall on my happiness. Is it fair to do the pages on my lunch hour?

Great idea to rebirth this. I lost track somewhere about Week 2 or 3. I'd like to give it another go. There were some lasting changes from my attempt before. Although I stopped doing the morning pages when they started feeling like a huge chore, I do have artist dates fairly regularly. I started beading and made a bunch of necklaces and bracelets and finished knitting a baby blanket.

yeah, there is something about that first month that gives a false sense of confidence... it is the time most people cut out [myself included!]... you get on this great high and think you ahve enough tools to continue... that's what happened to me this time again, of course...

the best thing about Artist's Way is that it is so easy to keep going back to it...

good luck to those picking it up...

if anyone wants, i can transfer moderatorship of this tribe... let me know
