Hey guys, what do you do with your old Morning Pages, after you have read them and took notes? Do you get rid of them, or do you keep those tens of notebooks forever??

Re: Morning Pages piling up!
Sat, July 30, 2005 - 12:33 AMI can't get rid of mine because I know as soon as I do, I'll want to look at the old ones again! I just have several boxes filled with old journals that I keep in my basement. I'm not really a pack-rat, but I just feel better knowing all my verbal/emotional spillage is packed up and safe near me. Maybe they're kind of a security blanket for me, but they're also a record of where I've been in my life and creativity.

Re: Morning Pages piling up!
Mon, August 1, 2005 - 5:28 PMI've got a couple of big boxes of 'em stowed in a closet! I've never gone back to read any, but it doesn't feel quite right to get rid of them. Maybe someday I'll feel like I need to do a purge, but so far, it's felt better to save them. -

Re: Morning Pages piling up!
Fri, September 16, 2005 - 3:13 PMI tend to go back and read them after a long time has past and take notes on ideas i want to pick up or experiment with again or any insights that i had and had forgotten about or failed to implement. Then i keep the notes and burn the notebooks. i just don't have a lot of space for storage energetically and physically.
it works for me. :) -

Mon, April 17, 2006 - 8:55 PMNicolita, I like your idea!
So far, I've been continuing the pattern I started during the workshop, which is going back over them every three months to highlight 1) insights and 2) action needed, and then make these my goals over the next three months (along with all my others). -

Mon, August 21, 2006 - 3:23 PMthese are great ideas. I was thinking of taking notes on mine and then using them in a collage series of sorts. We shall see

Re: Morning Pages piling up!
Tue, November 21, 2006 - 11:14 AMi keep a journal as well as morning pages and until recently was keeping them in this old trunk i found at a yard sale....anyway, i've just begun keeping the m.p.'s seprate and will keep them i'm thinking for 3-5 years and then after a thourough review have a berning ceremony. i have a hard time letting things precious to me go, so i think that will be a good way for me to learn to internalize and therefore make letting go less tramatic. i decided to do that because the trunk is full and i almost need a bookself just for the journals!

Re: Morning Pages piling up!
Sat, February 3, 2007 - 10:08 AMHi I'm new to the group and have done the morning pages a few times. I'm starting again after reading "Veins of Gold". I keep some of the morning pages that were written in hardback journals. Other morning pages that were done in notebooks may or not still be around.
